A full winter wonderland arrived as the Ice King's glacier crashed into the map's southwest corner, bringing back the snow biome along with Polar Peak, Frosty Flights, and Happy Hamlet. Familiar spots like Snobby Shores, Tilted Towers, and Lucky Landing got partially buried in snow, and planes and ziplines returned for faster traversal. This ended up being the longest OG season yet at 110 days, extended well past its original end date. The Ice Storm live event hit in mid-February: as Polar Peak melted, the Ice King woke up, projected a giant aurora of himself across the sky, blanketed the map in snow, and unleashed Ice Fiends for about ten days straight. Buried in the melting ice at Polar Peak was the Infinity Blade, Fortnite's very first Mythic weapon.

The Infinity Blade, Fortnite's first-ever Mythic weapon, was hidden in an ice block at Polar Peak and revealed as the season progressed.
The Ice Storm live event brought a giant aurora projection of the Ice King, a full map-wide snow blanket, and an Ice Fiend-filled limited-time mode.
Aircraft (X-4 Stormwing) and ziplines returned for faster movement across the snowy map.
The OG Pass split across six pages, with the later three staying locked until January, and included Voidwalker Lynx, Lt. Winter, and Wonder Onesie.

Thème de la saison

Fortnite's first big holiday season, rebuilt in full, with a slightly ominous edge running underneath the festive surface thanks to the Ice King and Prisoner lore. Being the longest OG season gave this one plenty of room to build tension slowly, from the glacier's arrival all the way through the Ice Storm event and the Infinity Blade reveal.
