A Mad Max-style wasteland theme brought a sandstorm-created desert biome to the southern part of the map, with new POIs like Redline Rig, Nitrodrome, and Sandy Steppes. The Nitro power-up let players boost their speed and damage temporarily, vehicle mods let players customize cars for the first time, and the War Bus gave a heavily armored way to push through fights. The Battle Pass featured The Machinist and Megalo Don, with T-60 Power Armor from Fallout joining later, and Wastelander Magneto arriving through a July quest line.
