Sonic the Hedgehog headlines the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass under the Override banner, with Epic's own line for the season being "Break the Rules. Change the Game." Override Consoles spawn in every match and let whoever reaches one first rewrite the rules for the entire server. Sprites return from Season 3, and the ones you already collected move into a new Sprite Garden mode instead of being wiped. The Island borrows from gaming history with Green Hill Zone, Stone Sanctum and Reality's Reign, and the Item Shop has Pac-Man, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Persona 5 Royal, KINGDOM HEARTS and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners lined up across the season.

Arcade and console nostalgia turned into an Island takeover, with Epic pulling from gaming history broadly instead of committing to one franchise. Green Hill Zone brings Sonic's loops, while Stone Sanctum and Reality's Reign handle the ancient ruins and the pipes and power cables. Every headline system this season is built around cheating: Override Consoles, Cheat Codes, Lobby Hacks and Loot Hacks. Where Season 3 asked you to collect Sprites, Season 4 asks you to spend them, turning Sprite Dust into control over what drops from your Chests. Epic named eight franchises for the Item Shop in the announcement alone, which makes this the densest collab lineup of Chapter 7 so far.
