A strange chrome-like substance called Chrome began infecting the island, spread by a mysterious being called The Herald acting on behalf of an entity known only as The Nothing. Players could splash Chrome onto surfaces and even onto weapons to create EvoChrome variants that leveled up with use. Paradigm and Spider-Gwen anchored the Battle Pass, and the whole season built toward Fracture, the dramatic live event that destroyed both the old Chapter 2 Apollo island and the current Artemis island at once.
